Research Themes

Strategic decision-making for digital growth

The theme refers to how businesses are using digital to define their strategic ambitions and to achieve them, including how they are using digital to change what strategic ambitions they commit to over the next 3-5 years to remain competitive, and how they are using digital to realise those ambitions.

AI and data-driven innovation

The second theme refers to research that takes a more specific look at the first theme, focusing on how businesses leverage data and algorithms such as AI, GenAI, and agentic AI to achieve strategic impact with digital.

Digital transformation in organizations

Third theme refers to research that examines what businesses change to systematically realize value from digital. Given (a) the strategic ambitions of businesses and (b) how they use digital to realize those ambitions through many digital innovation initiatives – most notably, AI and data-driven initiatives, what do businesses need to change beyond the initiatives.

Digital resilience and sustainability

The fourth theme refers to digital resilience as a strategic organisational muscle: it is a capability that organisations must develop to realise their strategic ambitions. Similarly, sustainability is integral to how organisations thrive with digital.
